Onyx Keesha has graced the stage in Lurinda D. Brown's "Walk Like a Man" and "Sometimes it Snows in Atlanta". She can also be seen in the titillating new web series, "Between Women", where she plays Allison Young.

In addition to her successful acting career, Onyx is also a very accomplished director. She has directed numerous shows around the country, including "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf", "The Vagina Monologues", and "Aida". Lately, she has turned her attention to promising original works. She directed the New York and Atlanta runs of "Sincerely Yours", a gripping tale about the last moments of a young man's life. Recently, she directed the Atlanta premiere of the much buzzed about "Only God Can Judge Me". At the end of 2011, Onyx directed her first short film, "The First: Noelle", about a wedding that doesn't go quite to plan.

Onyx Keesha is host of 1:1 w/ Onyx, an internet talk show in which she speaks with members of the LGBTIQQ community and their supporters, highlighting the accomplishments of entertainers, entrepreneurs and professionals in the community. She has interviewed such personalities as Kelly Price, Kandi Burress, Derek J, RL from Next and many more. She is also in the process of creating an all new LIVE web series, "It's O.K. with Onyx Keesha". Onyx's mission with her new web show is "Blurring the Lines that Divide Us".

Onyx's motto has been "It's OK!" (a clever play on her name). This brief, but powerful, statement has become a rallying cry for her and the people who's lives she has touched. The phrase means so much more than the simple words would imply. She is telling people that through perseverence, hard work, and faith, they can find their own greatness... as she has.

Onyx Keesha

A native of Newark, New Jersey, Noble Julz Hamilton serves as the co-owner of the first–rate entertainment production company M.Power Productions, LLC. Julz recognized her talents as an artist at a very young age, being introduced to the public as a poet in the eighth grade, when the keynote speaker of her graduation opened his speech with a poem Hamilton penned for the event. After graduation, she continued to invest in her gift and followed her passion by attending Newark’s Arts High School where she studied music education and theater performance.
In 1998, Noble Julz combined her education and spirituality with the rhythm of her heart to feature in numerous college tours and venues throughout the New Jersey and New York area, including Princeton University, the Serengeti Plains Café and the Nuyorican Poets Café. Shows in which she was featured include “For Her Eyes and Ears Only”, “Speak Your Mynd” and “Def Poetry Meets Def Comedy”. These feature performances led to Julz winning city-wide talent searches in 2004, 2006 and 2008, as well as featuring as a vocalist on the 2008 release of the “SPP Poetic CD” with Noetic and Cole Ledge.
In addition, Julz has recorded and performed with and under the leadership of noted music and entertainment figures such as Bad Boy Records producer and sound engineer G-Man, internationally-known DJ Cheese of Undisputed Entertainment, and legendary P-funk artist Kevin Goins.
Julz has also served the arts community behind the scenes as the producer of over 10 sold-out stage performances, including “Sincerely Yours,” for which she also served as writer. She is also the co-writer and executive producer of various short films, including. In addition, she is the co-creator, assistant director and co-writer of the award-winning web-series “TH3M!”, executive producer of web-based talk show “1:1 w/Onyx,” which is viewed in over 180 countries, and can currently be seen on the hit web-series “Between Women,” in which she plays the role of Brooke Scott.
Most recently, Julz has taken on the additional role of equality activist, serving as the organizer of the Atlanta Equality March in April 2012. With these accomplishments under her belt and many more ahead, Hamilton continues to use her gift and creativity to create peace through positive images.
 

Noble Julz Hamilton

Red Summer, is an actress, activist, educator, entrepreneur, writer, poet and performance artist. A native of Chicago whose entrepreneurial drive for success recently moved her to the Atlanta area where she continues to water her dreams. She is the founder of Two Fingers Press Publishing Company and the executive director of Verbal Remedies- an organization that empowers and mentors young people through creative programming and self esteem workshops. Her life is an open journey that mirrors the every day woman’s trials, tribulations and victories. She uses the power of her pen and the power of words to articulate, captivate, educate, motivate and activate.

Mikel Sullivan is one of the founders of M.PoWeR Productions. She has been honored to work on many different projects in different capacities. As an actress she has appeared on stage in many productions including “The Wiz” (Aunt Em), “For Colored Girls…” (Various), "Sugar Free" (Sister Mayrant) and “The Vagina Monologues” (Various); and on screen in “The First: Noelle” (Auntie).  Mikel has performed in such locations as Billie's Black in New York City and the historic Newark Symphony Hall in Newark, NJ.

In addition to her work on stage and in front of the camera, she has had the honor of working behind the scenes as an assistant director in “The Vagina Monologues”, “Aida”, “The Wiz”, and "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf".

As a writer, Mikel has had the honor of co-writing the short film "The First: Noelle" with Noble Julz Hamilton. She also wrote a monologue for M.PoWeR's spring 2012 production of "The Vagina Monologues" as well as the short film “Shattered Serenity”, and the children's skit "Fairy Tale Mix-Up". In the fall of 2012, Mikel's short film "Her Sister's Keeper" will begin filming.

Mikel has also  had the opportunity to work as an acting coach, set designer, and props master for many productions.

Terésa Dowell-Vest is a three time Geoffrey Award (Santa Monica Theatre Guild) winning director and a NAACP Theater Award nominee. She is the owner and CEO of Diva Blue Productions, Publishing and Photography. Her credits include directing, writing, acting (stage and film), production design (film). She has worked on stages in New York City, Virginia and Los Angeles. Off-Broadway acting credits: Woman to Woman(NYC’s Harlem Theatre). Regional: Macbeth, Educating Rita, Marisol, For Colored Girls, The Vagina Monologues, Countin’ Stars & Smellin’ Roses, Wit, Venus. Films: Nothin’ 2 Lose, Angels. Directing credits: The Colored Museum, Everyman, Seven Guitars, Scratchy Glass, Educating Rita, The Darker Face of the Earth, Angelique, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Blue Window, Flyin’ West (nominated for Best Director, 2008 NAACP Theatre Awards), A Piece of My Heart. She recently served as the production designer on three feature films: 7eventy5ive (2006, Brian Hooks, Rutger Hauer), Flip the Script (2005, Miguel Nunez Jr., Robin Givens), Wifey (2005, Brian Hooks, Jazsmin Lewis) and Showstoppers (2007). In 1999, she wrote Vinegar Hill, a play commissioned by Live Arts Theatre in her hometown of Charlottesville, Virginia. Vinegar Hill was reviewed by the Pulitzer Prize board in 2001. Recently, Terésa directed the short film "Stuck" starring Monique Currnen ("The Dark Knight", "The Fast and the Furious") and Erika Ringor ("Love and Basketball"). She was recently featured in a two page article about her superhero series "Genesis" in the premiere issue of Cinematiq, a new filmmaker's magazine. Terésa is recently published a coffee table book and multimedia exhibit, "The Box 69: My Photographic Chronicle in Verse, Song, and Crayons" a look at crayons but from an adult's perspective. Teresa recently relocated to Atlanta from LA where she taught acting for film and producing at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Hollywood.

Terésa Dowell-Vest

Kim Lawson born and raised in Sacramento Calif has been involved with the Arts since her high School days attending a visual and performing arts school. After graduation she was hired on to do commercials with the John Robert Powers Modeling agency. The commercials and head shots landed her a role as one of the lead host for a youth television show, taped in Toronto, Ontario Canada for the high profile pastor Billy Graham. She spent many years writing and performing songs and appeared as the lead actress in the stage play Everything Glitter Ain't Gold in Oakland California. She was the Production Manager for The Vagina Monologues and For Colored Girls, MPower 2012 Atlanta Ga. She is a Masters level Marriage and Family Therapist and currently resides in Atlanta Ga.

Boston Smith was born and raised in Fresno Calif. She has been performing most of her life. She participated in photo shoots for the Skittle Project in Chicago IL, The Armored Company in Sacramento California, the Daniel Greely Photography Company in Sacramento California, performed as the lead actress in The First Noelle, an M.PoWeR production in Atlanta GA, she worked as the wardrobe Stylist in the Atlanta addition of the Vagina Monologues and participated as a runway model in Taking Over the Runway, Milon V. Parker production, Chicago Illinois, The Blue Carpet Affair, Atlanta Ga and What is Butch Campaign, Atlanta Ga. Boston Smith is currently a Master Barber at the 71 Barbershop in Atlanta Ga.

Born in Virginia December 1983, raised as a southern belle in Alabama, and now a resident of the Atlanta, Georgia, “Beautifull” prides herself in being a humble, ambitious, multi-talented, and intelligent professional woman, scholar, model, and passionate semi-professional dancer and choreographer.  “Beautifull” has 10+years of formal dance training and 13+ years of dance performance experience. She also possesses poised runway and promotional model skill and talent. She is currently M.PoWeR Production’s Creative Movement and Dance Director.

She possesses a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling and is postured to begin her company working with children, teens, and adults in the overall personal development and mental health in the next year. She enjoys working with people in the creative capacity of healing, growth, and personal excellence and efficacy.

From runway to promotional modeling, dance performances and music videos, acting in local productions and other film projects, “Beautifull” enjoys expanding and sharing her talents. She also enjoys the energy and the excitement of being a part of the artistic industry, including fashion and music.

With her immaculate, positive and delightful, fun attitude, professionalism, energy, ambition, and talent, she is a pleasure to work with and an exciting aspect to any event, production or show.

Seen, witnessed, and viewed in various artistic realms, Tyra Schley lives to inspire others. Her heart and soul rest in creative zones to heal, move, restore, uplift, and ignite through all performances rendered. You may have witnessed Tyra in such works as “Why Won’t She Leave,” under the direction of Helen Shute-Petaway, directing "You Passed Me By,” by Nosenti Uhuti, or displaying multiple characters in “Shuffle Along,” directed by the late Carol Mitchell-Leon. Or perhaps you have experienced Tyra’s soul stirring, contralto vocal abilities while hosting Dee Robinson's Soul Cafe. Tyra’s most recent endeavors came as she connected with M.Power Productions, garnering feature roles in Eve Ensler’s “Vagina Monologues,” Tara the Wedding Planner in “The First Noelle,” and operating from the Director’s chair for “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow is Enuf,” by Ntozake Shange.  Overall, Tyra Schley loves to entertain and remind people that there is more to life than pain…there’s laughter and unconditional love. Experiencing them all cultivates a fulfilling life. In addition to the list of talents Tyra brings, she is the co-founder of 3 Days Away Weddings and Events, guides as the Executive Assistant to Bishop Oliver C. Allen at The Vision Cathedral of Atlanta, and she sits on the executive board for M. Power Productions. In her pastime, Tyra enjoys mentoring youth, writing, community activism, and raising two gifted, beautiful children with her loving partner, Royal Werts.  Tyra Schley is currently creating a Scholarship based Fine Arts Middle School for gifted and talented behavioral and disadvantaged kids.

Discovering the art of entertaining while putting on shows in song and dance for her family as a tot has thwarted Tajir into a realm filled with the energy, passion, and talent that she resonates in with her career today.
Performing as a male illusionist, headlining a hip-hop group overseas during her military stint, and acting in stage plays, online web series, and films, Tajir has a polished and enthusiastic approach to her craft. Her beautiful androgynous look and dedicated work ethic fashions Tajir to bring unique talent to each project.
By profession, as a computer technician, Tajir has a computer consulting business, AToM. Outside of the social limelight this dedicated and caring individual also launched her own production company, GemBoI Productions in 2007, dedicated to positive entertainment and community outreach. She has also sponsored Back 2 School and Holiday Toy Drives in DC and continues to give back to her community in her new home of Atlanta, Georgia.
Tajir performed “The 5 Heartbeats” in 2005, and was approached by an audience member who convinced her to audition for the stage play- “Walk Like A Man” by Positive Scribe Productions (PSP). Tajir has been a part of PSP ever since and has traveled throughout the U.S. with them performing and entertaining.  Not only is Tajir a cast member, she has also gained experience and credits as the Artistic Director for PSP’s other productions such as “BoIs Don’t Cry” and “Sometimes it Snow’s In Atlanta”.
Tajir currently stars as Mecca on the hit online series Between Women. She has made several appearances, hosted several shows and events, and given live interviews since the beginnings of this show in 2011.
As Tajir has continued to gain experience, passion, and support in her entertaining career, she seeks to be casted in film, stage plays, hosting and modeling gigs, as well as production and directing opportunities where ever she may.

The Haitian American girl who grew up in the beauty of Miami, Florida, Kissa Jo heard early that she would never find her place in the world of acting. She was discouraged to pursue her dreams throughout her upbringing. Considered to be obese from childhood to adulthood, people focused on her weight and not her amazing talent that seemed to overflow in everything that she did. Kissa didn't let their doubt be her stumbling block. Instead, she used their words of hurt to be fuel for her motivation to not only become healthier but also prove to herself that she is more than her appearance and that the brand of Kissa Jo will be seen and known worldwide. Losing over 80 lbs and standing at 5'10", Kissa began her journey to becoming a powerhouse in acting, modeling, and anything else she sets her sights on.
Her experience spans across many genres: from modeling, theater, to acting. Kissa has trained with acting coaches and talent agents to improve upon her skills while modeling in various fashion shows and commercial shoots across the nation.Kissa's most well-known role has been in bringing to life the character of Sasha on the hit web-series Lovers and Friends Show. In its final season, the series has allowed Kissa to tackle different life issues and show her talent to a world-wide audience as the show is made available weekly through the website and past episodes through Netflix

Taz, also known as Michele Garrett is the daughter of a thespian.  At the age of 35 she decided to take the fear of being in front of an audience by the horns.  She went on her first audition in November of 2011.  Since then, she had a role in M.PoWeR's short film “The First: Noelle” and their Spring 2012 production of “The Vagina Monologues”. She served as Associate Producer for M.PoWeR's fall 2012 production of "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf".
